Will Ron Paul's Supporters Be Ultimate Winners?

If Ron Paul revolutionaries really want success, they have to ask themselves, "What is it that I really, really, really, really want?"

Liberal-progressives comprise about 20% of the voting population. Yet since 1960 conservatives have often helped liberal-progressives win elections by stubbornly staying at home whenever the GOP nominee "wasn't conservative enough." There is no question that liberal-progressive policies have eroded away the underpinnings of America. But it is conservatives who have been their enablers, it has been conservatives who have obstinately said, "If I can't vote for my candidate, let the enemy win."

Did conservatives all these years really want liberal-progressives to win elections? No? Then why did they act in such a way as to sabotage what they really wanted? What kind of self-sabotaging ego causes such self-destructive behavior?

Fast forward to 2012 and now it is many Ron Paul libertarians who are the ones acting like spoiled brats. Many Ron Paul supporters are saying, "If I can't have it my way ... my way! ... my way!! ... umph!!! ... then I'll just let my worst enemies rule the day."

If you are one of let's say 3% of voters who insist "Ron Paul or no one!" and Obama wins the 2012 election by let's say 2% of the vote, does it mean that you really wanted Obama for four more years? Does it mean that you really wanted U.S. debt to shove America over a cliff into bankruptcy, resulting in a strong-armed Obama dictatorial response "for our own good ... iron-fisted government in order to prevent chaos."

"Our man or no one" does not mean no one wins the election. It means a leftist who wants to be a dictator turning America into a leftist society wins the election. And a leftist society means a society descending into poverty, misery, and internal war between corrupt factions.

There is a libertarian argument that says, "Let it all fall apart. We'll be the ones who put it together again." Such an argument is madness. If a leftist is allowed to stay in power, then "it all falling apart" means libertarians may very well be arrested or in other ways harassed for speaking out (for disturbing the liberal-progressive "peace").

It is a million times more efficient to get the worst group out of power while you can, then if necessary work on getting the next worst group out of power, then if necessary the next worst group, until finally your group is in power protecting the freedom of every group and individual. Do not sit back and allow Obama to win re-election.

Thank You, Iowa! Ron Paul Must Not Be Ignored!

Do not discount Ron Paul's showing in the Iowa Republican Caucuses. Republican old-timers and established powers are freaking out, their fear morphing into vicious scare tactics: "Ron Paul's showing must be ignored! You must not take seriously this crowd of rowdies who are probably Democrats who have infiltrated our party and who want to legalize heroin!"

What the Republican establishment wants to hide under the rug out of sight is that it is Republican office holders who have aided and abetted the Democrats in getting the United States into the mess it is in ... and it is Ron Paul's solutions which are the fix, the hope for America's future.

It is the same with any establishment. In church establishments, those who favor opening minds are fought by old-timer dogmatists. In congress, new approaches are blocked from even a vote by those who have been around for six terms. Even in businesses, where innovativeness and creativity might mean additional profits, managers somehow find no time to look into new ideas.

Yet there is nothing more powerful than an idea whose time has come ... and the idea of political liberty is once again being felt as a pressing impulse inside of men and women.

So old-line Republicans need to either open their minds ... or get out of the way.

The American Revolution was not complete. To be sure, much was accomplished. 18th Century Americans freed themselves from the oppression of the British government of the time, even took steps to create a new kind of government which hopefully would not become oppressive. But over time, men and women with ego-vested interests have found ways to sabotage the original intent. Those who crave power over our lives have found ways to use the government for their ends. They have invented ways to interpret the Constitution to their favor.

Ron Paul's public message to politicians is: "Honor the Constitution, stupid!" But the unspoken message sparking in the minds of Ron Paul enthusiasts is: "Political liberty is natural to mankind and necessary for mankind's highest well-being. There has to be better ways to secure political liberty!"

And that unspoken thought is the idea whose time has come.

Republicans ... are you willing to listen? Do not ignore the Ron Paul movement!

Tea Parties and Common Sense

On December 16, 1773 colonial freedom activists tossed a cargo of tea into the Boston harbor. The Boston Tea Party was more an act of free speech crying out to be heard than an act of war. But the British sent troops to occupy King Street (and all other Boston streets).

On April 19, 1775 British troops marched out of Boston on what would these days be spun in the Democrat-Media Complex as an exercise in gun control "for their own good." But colonial militia and farmers fought for their rights rather than hand over their gun powder. The British retreated to Boston severely bloodied. Lives were lost. It seemed there might now be two sides unmistakably at war.

On June 14, 1775 the Second Continental Congress voted to create a Continental Army. George Washington was asked to travel up to the Boston area to attempt with his southern accent to take command of New England militia units. But 3 days later on June 17, 1775, before Washington could make it up north, the battle we know as "Bunker Hill" raged and the British overran colonial freedom fighter positions with shock and awe force.

Eventually George Washington's hard-working troops did manage to influence the British to relocate somewhere else besides Boston for tactical reasons. But British military leaders were still supremely confident they could put down the resistance movement of the colonial rebels. In the British military mind, George Washington's tiny under-trained, under-equipped army would quickly be brushed away like crumbs from their tea tables. By the end of 1775 there was no guarantee that any substantial number of colonists in America would even endure hardship, never mind "fight to the death," for the radical idea of independence from England. In America there lived many more system-supporting Tories than liberty-craving Patriots.

But as the spirit of liberty would have it, Thomas Paine's fiery pamphlet "Common Sense" was published in January 1776 ... and the inequality gap between down-to-earth American humility and elitist British arrogance became almost impossible to excuse. Paine's pamphlet enjoyed the largest relative circulation and readership in American history and gave backbone to what we call the American Revolution. Patriots were still outnumbered, but now they felt the spirit as never before.

Fast forward to the 21st Century and modern Americans have more reason for grievance regarding their present government than colonists in the 18th Century had with the British government of the time. Americans today can find the same spirit by being excited about the American Revolution and reading as many works as possible related to the original patriots, especially Thomas Paine's "Common Sense." But more than that, we really need something to fire up Americans, maybe something similar to Paine's inspiring pamphlet only up to date for these days, wouldn't you say?

Perhaps hoping to meet that need, Stephen D. Palmer published a small book entitled "Uncommon Sense: A Common Citizen's Guide to Rebuilding America." Well, okay ... it's not the fiery prose of Thomas Paine, but it is a quick easy-to-understand read that (if you care enough to share) can raise your neighbor's focus above the insane ideas which rule today's American politics and into a realm of satisfying solutions you will know to be right by your own common sense.

Republican Reality Show: Mitt Romney to Ron Paul

The Republican Party's process of selecting a nominee for 2012 could be called the nation's most interesting reality show. The party has moved to the right since the 1990s, although not as far as Democrats have moved to the left. But far enough to the right that Mitt Romney, who would have been called a conservative in the 1990s, is thought by many in the current Republican Party to be too liberal.

Romney would seem the logical choice of a party who wants to win. He is the one Republican candidate who has the money and the appeal to independents to beat the President (who has the entire world's Marxist revolutionary movement behind him, 100s of millions if not in the billions of dollars, and the fierce determination of an army of full-time activists who worship government power):

“Since the beginning of the year, Mr. Obama and the Democratic National Committee, for which the president is helping raise money to finance his party’s grass-roots efforts, have spent close to $87 million in operating costs,” Nicholas Confessore and Griff Palmer write on the front page of today’s New York Times. “That amount is about as much as all the current Republican candidates together have raised so far in this campaign. In recent months, that money has helped open campaign offices in at least 15 states… In just the last three months, according to [FEC] filings, the Obama campaign has spent more on payroll, more than $4 million, than several of the Republican candidates have raised. The president is already paying staff employees in at least 38 states, including Wisconsin, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Ohio, New Mexico and North Carolina. His Chicago campaign headquarters hums with more than 200 paid aides."

Clearly the Democratic Party is determined to win. But no one can realistically make the same claim for the Republican Party (the vast majority of whose fans are usually busy minding their own business, not worshipping government power, not organizing to really win political campaigns, and wishing government control over their lives would go away without them having to lift a finger).

So the Republican Party has it's "ideology above victory" wings, Tea Party conservatives, and hard-core libertarians, who can be heard voicing insane statements like, "Romney is Obama light."

But we enjoy watching insanity in reality shows, right?

So Herman Cain has his "999" plan, which could really be sold to common sense people if he changed it to "777." He does, after all, want to scrap the current U.S. tax code. But Cain has no political organization to speak of, no traditional campaign strategy, very little money, and no prayer of winning the Republican nomination ... this time around. Cain might be actually running for the Vice Presidential place on the ticket.

Rick Perry has more financial support than Cain, a better understanding of campaign strategy and organization, but little appeal beyond evangelical Christians who see him as "one of their own."

And of course Ron Paul has the most attractive plan for moving in the direction of restoring sanity to government: eliminate Departments which involve government where government has no legitimate business:

Is Mitt Romney Best Bet For Saving America?

Why would a die hard conservative or a hard-headed libertarian finally decide to support Mitt Romney for the U.S. Presidency in 2012?

To answer such a question it is necessary to recognize that the 2012 election is the end of the world as we know it if Barack Obama manages to get re-elected. The much-ballyhooed "Mayan Prophecy" supposedly predicts cataclysmic changes on December 21, 2012, some believe a world-wide apocalypse caused by solar flares.

But maybe the "solar" is Barack Obama's Leo energy (Leo is ruled by the Sun), and the "flares" are Obama's programs and directives. ObamaCare alone is destined to bankrupt the United States, and ObamaCare is not half of what Obama will set into motion if he wins re-election. Maybe something triggering catastrophe really will happen on December 21, 2012, perhaps behind the scenes in Washington D.C. But maybe such an event will be made possible by the results on election day, November 6, 2012.

America will no longer be America if Barack Obama wins re-election. Poverty and chaos will become so wide-spread that liberal-progressive (fascist) dictatorship will be imagined to be justifiable. The right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness will disappear.

If conservatives hope to conserve a common sense America, if libertarians hope to keep alive the future possibility of political liberty, Barack Obama must lose the 1012 election, and hopefully lose big.

So the first and foremost question for conservatives and libertarians is: Who can beat Barack Obama? Which of the possible challengers can realistically win the election? Because if Obama wins, everyone loses.

In a previous post, we wrote about not supporting any candidate who would fire up the Democratic base. That principle eliminates an easy-for-Democrats-to-hate conservative woman like Michele Bachmann or Sarah Palin. And nobody ignites Democrat angst more than a Social Security enemy with Bush's Texas accent, so Rick Perry as a candidate would simply reinvigorate Obama's coalition and assure his re-election.

That seems to leave Mitt Romney.

Is Romney conservative enough for conservatives to support? Although he signed RomneyCare when a fix was needed to a severe problem in his state and he had no choice but to work with a Democratic legislature, Romney is certainly no liberal-progressive. He has shown himself to be evermore conservative through the years.

But is Romney teachable enough for libertarians to support? Well, clearly he has shown the willingness to change his mind when confronted with new information or a new way of seeing things. The Democratic-Media Complex last time around successfully painted Romney as a "flip-flopper." A more objective assessment would be that Romney is open-minded. If he were to be elected, he would certainly be willing to sit down with libertarians and listen ... and be taught.

It would seem that Mitt Romney is the best bet for saving America.

In the Long Run - Romney, Bachmann, Perry, Palin, or Paul?

Why would a Ron Paul libertarian, when it became clear that Ron Paul can't win the Republican nomination, grudgingly help Mitt Romney? Why would a God-loving southern conservative, at the very end, abandon Rick Perry and feel okay about Mitt Romney? Why would an enthusiast of Michele Bachmann, or Herman Cain, or Sarah Palin , when all is said and done, get behind Mitt Romney?

There may be only one explanation for such phenomena: an honest look at the energy of the Democratic Party base.

The only way Obama could win re-election is for his leftist allies and other life-long Democrats to be really, really, really fired up … feeling really driven into action. In the words of a famous old political sage: “It’s an energy thing!”

Such a high level of motivation among the Democratic Party base is lacking at this time. Obama has partisans, but few “willing to give up everything for him” zealots. So the foremost question of the 2012 election season is not who would be the best Republican candidate but: “How do Democrats ignite a new conflagration in their would-be supporters who have lost their fire?”

Well, Democrats are frantic. They are considering such dramatic options as replacing Joe Biden with Hillary Clinton as Obama’s running mate. Yet they know Hillary on the ticket would generate enthusiasm but not enough to overcome the apathy Obama has lately created. Besides, the prospect of Hillary as Vice President wouldn’t be the same excitement-generator as the prospect of Hillary being President. It’s an energy thing.

Franklin Roosevelt tricked his way to the Democratic Party nomination in 1940, and found plenty of support because the threat of war was on the horizon. In the past, Americans didn’t change Presidents during war time or even facing the possibility of war. If Obama decided to rattle sabers against Iran in order to generate election support, the anti-war Democrats who control the Democratic Party these days would never fall for such a trick.

The truth is if Obama is to win another term, it must be Republicans who energize the Democratic base.

So the question of the 2012 election season becomes: which Republican candidate generates so much fear and distaste (and even hatred) among the Democratic base that they would feel driven to charge into battle for Obama?

In order to answer that, put yourself in the shoes of a modern Democrat. You hate God-loving conservatives with a passion. You hate anyone who talks about drastically reducing government spending, or balancing the Federal budget, or securing America’s borders, or including fetuses in the definition of human life. You especially hate female conservatives because they give the lie to the Democratic Party’s feminist allies. And you really, really, really hate any Governor from Texas whose voice and aura reminds you of George Bush. You also hate libertarians with their belief that governments have no right to tax citizens at all, but you don’t really consider libertarians influential enough to fear.

Now, imagining yourself in the shoes of a modern Democrat, you are asked an opinion poll question: “Who is the one Republican candidate you would be most motivated to work against?” Here are the results of such a poll:

40% Rick Perry (“The total human embodiment of everything we liberals hate!”)
30% Michele Bachmann (“Conservative women should be seen but not powerful!”)
20% Sarah Palin (“Conservative women ditto. But hard to see Sarah as a threat!”)
5% Ron Paul (“Some pretty insane ideas! Too crazy to worry about!”)
5% Mitt Romney (“Hard to see him as dangerous! At least he fixes things.”)

Of course at this stage one would expect Republican activists to be guided by their ego and not their spirit into supporting the candidate who most “turns them on,” perhaps most gives the appearance of agreeing with their positions. However, it might become clear that such ego-vested interest could be a recipe for self-sabotage and another four years of worsening Obama disaster. So Republicans may come to see a broader picture and a more effective strategy, one that takes into account the potential energy of the Democratic base.

What Would Happen To Romney, Bachmann, Paul, Palin, Cain, Perry If You Did Your Part?

"I look inside for novel ways to sell liberty."

Novel ways? Ayn Rand literally wrote novels to glorify her heroic sense of life, but her novels had to implicitly "sell" liberty, because liberty is the political condition required by true heroes. Future liberty loving fiction writers also will probably "sell" the ideas of liberty in novels for a long time to come.

But freedom lovers who do not write fiction can still listen inside to their inner voice and come up with a million and one novel ways to sell liberty.

One valuable way to sell liberty is to float proposals which sound reasonable to the public but would surely have the old-guard defending like crazy. Remember, whoever is defending is really attacking oneself, which really is crazy.

James Dale Davidson and Lord William Rees-Mogg floated such a proposal in their book "The Sovereign Individual". It was a proposal to pay all political office holders straight commission based on the growth of after-tax per-capita income.

If Tea Party politicians were to introduce this proposal in Congress, or even into campaign debates, the old-guard would surely scream and cry, tear their clothes, throw fits and fly into temper tantrums.

Is it to liberty's advantage for the public to watch the old-guard acting this way in the face of a reasonable sounding proposal?

You should be hearing inside, "Yes!" Anytime one goes into resistance against a reasonable sounding idea, or even against a cherished traditional idea, it is the one who is resisting who loses. The old-guard screaming and crying, ranting and raving about school vouchers has worked in liberty's favor.

What about "selling" liberty in other realms besides art and politics?

What if an insurance salesman included a paperback copy of something short and easy to read such as Ayn Rand's "Anthem" or Frederic Bastiat's "The Law" as a complimentary gift to his customer with each policy delivered?

What if one sold a product that included in the packaging a short, easy to read, non-offending primer on freedom ideas like the truth that taxation is immoral?

What if someone sold small business owners on the idea of reprogramming their sales receipts printout so that the line after the subtotal which for years has said "Sales Tax" now says "Government Theft"?

What if one came up with a product priced to appeal to minimum wage earners and at the same time serve as an entry point or "foot in the door" to the longer-term creation of individual sovereignty?

What if marketing schemes of various freedom technology products included the Course in Political Miracles as part of their distribution?

When it comes to novel ideas which promote liberty ... the sky is not the limit. There are no limits.

This month give yourself an assignment to meditate constructively ... coming up with 25 novel ways to sell or promote liberty.

Each night before retiring, ask yourself very seriously, and with great desire, to give you during your sleep some wonderful novel ideas for selling liberty.

Go to sleep with a notepad and pencil nearby, happy in the knowledge that losing a few minutes sleep in the middle of the night is a small price to pay for establishing liberty.

Each morning with great gratitude review the ideas given to you during the night and ask that even more good ideas be given during the day.

During longer daily meditations this month, specifically ask to be shown novel ways to sell liberty.

Some of these ideas will make you a great deal of money and work toward assuring your own individual sovereignty. Some ideas you will share with others and everyone will make money.

You can be happy in the knowledge that whether the novel ideas make money or not, all will promote liberty. And because we are all connected on psychic levels, the ideas will have their effects in the minds of others.

Throughout this entire month, remember that an idea held in mind produces after its kind. Remember that novel ideas selling liberty are contagious, infecting all minds very powerfully.

Lesson For Conservatives and Libertarians

As the political season again heats up, once again we see men and women falling into the ugly ego trap of lowering themselves to the level of attack and defense. Voters do not like it.

With regard to attack, it's easy to say, "Well, I'm above that. I'm not going to resort to attack." But how many of us understand how self-sabotaging defensiveness is? The question is: what kind of mentality do I reduce myself to if I become defensive or start defending myself?

If I perceive myself as attacked, I need to look very carefully to see if sticks and stones can break my bones, while any other kind of attack can really hurt me.

Like worry, defensiveness works against me. If I am defensive, I am not anchored in my spirit. If I am not anchored in my spirit, I am coming from weakness. If I am coming from weakness, how much more am I likely to be attacked and how much less am I likely to be supported?

Operating in the realm of politics, if I am never attacked … so much the better. On the other hand, is there a way I can see things which keeps me out of defensiveness?

What if my joy actually remains intact despite the appearance that I am being attacked? What if in reality I can only attack myself by believing that the seeming attack of others is really about me and can hurt me? What if in truth any apparent attack is not about me at all and hurts nobody but the attacker?

With this week's lesson, I dedicate myself to learning that I never have to be defensive and that defensiveness always works against me. This week I train myself to experience my safety not in defensiveness, but in joy.

My morning meditations this week will be dedicated to imagining situations which could come up during the day to which I would react with defensiveness. With each situation that comes to mind I visualize myself consciously choosing to access my joy and feel my joy instead of lapsing into defensiveness. While visualizing myself avoiding defensiveness and holding my joy in each situation, I tell myself the statement of this week's lesson:

"My safety lies not in defensiveness, but in joy."

Then each hour during the day I stop whatever I am doing and take a few minutes to think of situations where I did or could become defensive and declare about each:

"In this situation involving (someone's name or other specifics) my safety lies not in defensiveness, but in joy."

Finally as I retire each day I review my progress, not worrying about the times I forgot to substitute my joy for defensive tendencies; and feeling very, very good about the times when instead of becoming defensive I was able to stay with my spirit in joy.

Atlas Shrugged: Will A Movie Bring Down President Obama?

The moral of the film's story: human beings have a right to their own life, and no one has a right to sacrifice another.

The theme of the film's story: inventors, achievers, and innovators go on strike against the "liberal-progressive" idea that creators of prosperity and value need to be sacrificed for the good of "society."

Barack Obama and his liberal-progressive thugs hate this movie. How dare a man entertain the idea he has a right to his own life, his own creation, his own earnings! How dare a woman tell the government to quit making life hard for her!

The greatest value of the movie: viewers get to see more clearly than perhaps ever before why the world is degenerating into insanity and economic struggle.

The movie Atlas Shrugged is hated by the liberal media and liberal academia and liberal Hollywood because it exposes the anti-life core of their philosophies. For that reason alone, it is a movie worth seeing.

The film's "bad guys" are incompetent businessmen who enlist the help of political power players in the hopes of enjoying a success they don't deserve and could never achieve on their own. President Obama and the liberal-progressive goons in today's congress must be cringing because the principle depicted in the film does not differ from the current administration's bailouts and waivers and other "rescues" of companies who donate to their cause.

The film's "good guys" are competent men and women, producers who do not want government help, and in fact only need government dictators and slave masters to get out of the way so they can produce prosperity for the entire nation.

The liberal-progressive ideal held by President Obama and his high-priests of human sacrifice in congress and elsewhere is for government to steal from those who have earned, and redistribute the loot to those who have not earned it. Penalize the producers ... and reward the panhandlers. Their bloodsucking game cannot go on forever. Either the blood is sucked out of the rich until there is no more blood to be sucked and everyone is living in poverty ... even the bloodsuckers. Or maybe with luck enough people will see the film Atlas Shrugged, grasp what is going on, and say,

Tale of a wolf in sheep's clothing

This idea has probably been around for centuries and was immortalized in a sermon by Jesus Christ: "Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves."(Matthew 7:15). Jesus indicates their true nature will be revealed by their actions. "By their fruits shall ye know them." (Mathew 7:16)

If you voted for Barack Obama, do not feel regret or remorse or guilt. You could not have known in advance his hidden nature. "Forgive them, for they know not what they do." (Luke 23:34) There were hints during his campaign. There were signs. But who has the time or inclination to really investigate, right? Lesson learned.

Worse yet, guard against the temptation to justify your uninformed vote by pretending Obama is not who he really is, by becoming an apologist, by spinning facts to show a more positive view. Selling your soul to cover a previous mistake has to be the most unhealthy of unhealthy practices, wouldn't you say?

Finally, remember that your vote will be redeemed because evil must by nature sabotage itself. Those who originally voted for Adolph Hitler and Benito Mussolini (who won elections by big margins) eventually watched those who they had misidentified as heroes destroy themselves. Yes, these men caused untold suffering. But that's how we learn lessons (lessons like digging for facts before dreamy-eyed voting).

One old story tells of how the wolf so well imitated a sheep that he started becoming a sheep. Today you occasionally hear a leftist screaming at Obama: "You are becoming one of them." But most leftists don't have such a worry. They know there is no way Obama can become a true American.

Another fable has the wolf being discovered and hanged. A hand full of right-wingers would love to see Obama impeached and tried ... for any number of treasonous offences. But Obama has pulled the wool over too many eyes for that to happen, so how will this story really end?

Still another tale has the wolf encumbered by his disguise. He cannot operate as efficiently as either a real sheep or an undisguised wolf. Although he usually feels the need to play timid, his pent up aggression occassionally breaks fee and teeth are bared, thus making him want to hide his true nature even more thoroughly. Living a contradiction, feeling the need to always be careful not to let it be seen who he really is, he becomes more and more paralyzed and evermore given to sending contradictory, confused signals. Even then, his true nature still erupts in private, and the guilt of his deceit haunts him.

Poor wolf. Maybe if a shepard prays for him he will see the value of abandoning his deception and leaving the sheep to live in peace and freedom.

If Republicans hope to rescue America from socialist misery they must operate on the level of fundamentals. They must say to Americans, and especially to Democrats: "We are not going to sell our souls for well-intended programs that dreamers imagine government would do well to provide. The road to hell is paved with good intentions."

Fundamental #1: Nothing is free. Somewhere, sometime, in some place, someone must pay.

Fundamental #2: Forcing men and women (via taxation or confiscation or government-induced inflation) to pay for something they do not voluntarily donate enough to pay for; forcing people to forfeit their livelihood (and in some cases their very lives) is ... human sacrifice, the very height of immorality.

Fundamental #3: If free men and women do not voluntarily donate enough to pay for something, their government has no business attempting it.

When Republicans look at devastating federal and state deficits and debt, they appropriately say to voters: "We must cut spending." Democrats then, self-righteously standing on their good intentions, sneer: "Tell us what specific programs you would eliminate." If there were a truly gutsy Republican, his or her answer would be: "We need to scrap all government programs, all government bureaucracies, all government rules and regulations and decrees and laws ... and start over again."

But whoever heard of a truly gutsy Republican? Republicans are famous for wishy-washy thinking and wishy-washy cave-ins, right? Nonetheless, Republicans have been given one more chance to look inside themselves and find at least a beginning twinge of courage, enough for them to convey clearly to Democrats: "Stop! Your good intentions have brought us nothing but pain. We must go back to fundamentals."

Americans everywhere are struggling and suffering while they wait for a Republican leader who will say, "To hell with my personal survival, my personal career and fortunes ... the only thing important to me is the survival and prosperity of every American." So far only two Republicans are showing glimpses of that kind of courage ... Sarah Palin and Mike Pence. We'll have to wait and see if others join them.

Saving America With Ayn Rand and Jesus

How do we save America?

Ayn Rand's students claim that the first American Revolution was incomplete. The radical uprising of 1776 was an attempt to unleash the full potential of men and women by declaring them independent of subservience to priests, kings, aristocrats, or the political majority of some man-made democracy. Freedom to realize the potential for the fullness of life! But something went wrong.

The heroic Founding Fathers of America would by horrified by the "for your own good" changes President Obama and his thugs would like to force on us.

What went wrong?

Ayn Rand might say that although the American founders had tremendous self-assurance born out of inspired enlightenment thinking, they did not make a clear statement of moral imperatives which would necessarily create a solid foundation. They did not teach men and women the fundamental ideas prerequisite to feeling the sense of self-confidence and self-certainty which would be required to make a liberty-based republic work.

Students of Ayn Rand would say men and women lacking self-esteem naturally gravitate toward either wanting to rule others or willing to be ruled ... two expressions of the same malady. Rand's students might also claim that if socialist ideas top the list of self-esteem killers, Christian ideas are only a few notches down the list.

With respect to the latter claim, perhaps they have a point if they are referring to the Pauline mysticism that so often passes for Christianity. But modern scholarship tells us that the true teachings of Jesus have nothing to do with Pauline mysticism and everything to do with opening one's mind to certainty and self-esteem beyond even that imagined by Rand's Objectivists.

Two facts are in the 21st Century ascertainable:

1. Pauline mysticism is not the teaching of Jesus. The true teaching of Jesus, preserved for a while in the Nazarine movement of Jesus' direct disciples and relatives, and called "The Way," was shouldered into obscurity by Pauline Christianity to the north and west, and eventually by Islam to the east and south. 2. The true teaching of Jesus, spelled out clearly in A Course in Miracles is all about achieving correct perception and reason:

"We said before that the abilities which man possesses are only shadows of his true abilities. Methodologically, man's mind has been very creative. But, as always occurs when method and content are separated, it has not been utilized for anything but an attempt to escape a fundamental and entirely inescapable impasse. This kind of thinking cannot result in a creative outcome, though it has resulted in considerable ingenuity.

"It is noteworthy, however, that this ingenuity has almost totally divorced him from knowledge. Knowledge does not require ingenuity at all. When we say 'the truth shall set you free,' we mean that all this kind of thinking is a waste of time, but that you are free of the need of engaging in it.

"The 'laws of chaos' can be brought to light, though never understood. Chaotic laws are hardly meaningful, and therefore out of reason's sphere. Yet they appear to constitute an obstacle to reason and to truth. Let us, then, look upon them calmly, that we may look beyond them, understanding what they are, not what they would maintain. It is essential it be understood what they are for, because it is their purpose to make meaningless, and to attack the truth. Here are the laws that rule the world."

There is nothing "mystical" about the true teachings of Jesus, and in fact these teachings might be said to help "fill in the blanks" not addressed by Ayn Rand in such a way that by comparing these two great mind-opening revelations for the 21st Century, the philosophy of Ayn Rand and the true teachings of Jesus, the answer to completing the American Revolution can be found.

The answer might be stated in many ways. Both Jesus and Ayn Rand might say, "the truth shall set you free." But what really is the fundamental truth, the most totally alive underlying experience of mankind?

When the light bulb finally went on in Dagney Taggart's mind, when she finally said in her mind the equivalent of "Oh, my God!", she commented to John Galt something like: "We never needed to worry, did we?" So maybe the final experience of untouchable self-worth which allows one to know with certainty "I have no need to ever rule others nor concede to being ruled" rests on the development of total trust.

In A Course in Miracles Jesus states: "Trust ... is the foundation on which their ability to fulfill their function rests."

Or maybe there are other traits besides trust which lead to the same result, other aspects of character development which will facilitate the same enlightenment in mankind. Whatever the answer to finalizing the American Revolution, it will not be found in the writings or lecturing of those who would rule or those who would allow themselves to be ruled. It will most likely be found in Ayn Rand's philosophy expounded in her remarkable novel Atlas Shrugged as well as in the teachings of Jesus outlined in A Course in Miracles.

Let's assume President Obama and the Democratic Party have good intentions. But they probably have never examined a society in which wealth has been redistributed from producers to non-producers, from earners to non-earners. Perhaps the clearest grasp of the end results of redistribution of wealth can be gained by reading the story of the Twentieth Century Motor Company from Ayn Rand’s novel, Atlas Shrugged. Here is a story well worth reading:

"Well, there was something that happened at that plant where I worked for twenty years. It was when the old man died and his heirs took over. There were three of them, two sons and a daughter, and they brought a new plan to run the factory. They let us vote on it, too, and everybody – almost everybody – voted for it. We didn’t know. We thought it was good. No, that’s not true, either. We thought that we were supposed to think it was good. The plan was that everybody in the factory would work according to his ability, but would be paid according to his need.

“We voted for that plan at a big meeting, with all of us present, six thousand of us, everybody that worked in the factory. The Starnes heirs made long speeches about it, and it wasn’t too clear, but nobody asked any questions. None of us knew just how the plan would work, but every one of us thought that the next fellow knew it. And if anybody had doubts, he felt guilty and kept his mouth shut – because they made it sound like anyone who’d oppose the plan was a child-killer at heart and less than a human being. They told us that this plan would achieve a noble ideal. Well, how were we to know otherwise? Hadn’t we heard it all our lives – from our parents and our schoolteachers and our ministers, and in every newspaper we ever read and every movie and every public speech? Hadn’t we always been told that this was righteous and just? Well, maybe there’s some excuse for what we did at that meeting. Still, we voted for the plan – and what we got, we had it coming to us. You know, ma’am, we are marked men, in a way, those of us who lived through the four years of that plan in the Twentieth Century factory. What is it that hell is supposed to be? Evil – plain, naked, smirking evil, isn’t it? Well, that’s what we saw and helped to make – and I think we’re damned, every one of us, and maybe we’ll never be forgiven …

“Do you know how it worked, that plan, and what it did to people? Try pouring water into a tank where there’s a pipe at the bottom draining it out faster than you pour it, and each bucket you bring breaks that pipe an inch wider, and the harder you work the more is demanded of you, and you stand slinging buckets forty hours a week, then forthy-eight, then fifty-six – for your neighbor’s supper – for his wife’s operation – for his child’s measles – for his mother’s wheel chair – for his uncle’s shirt – for his nephew’s schooling – for the baby next door – for the baby to be born – for anyone anywhere around you – it’s theirs to receive, from diapers to dentures – and yours to work, from sunup to sundown, month after month, year after year, with nothing to show for it but your sweat, with nothing in sight for you but their pleasure, for the whole of your life, without rest, without hope, without end … From each according to his ability, to each according to his need …

“We’re all one big family, they told us, we’re all in this together. But you don’t all stand working an acetylene torch ten hours a day – together, and you don’t all get a bellyache – together. What’s whose ability and which of whose needs comes first? When it’s all one pot, you can’t let any man decide what his own needs are, can you? If you did, he might claim that he needs a yacht – and if his feelings are all you have to go by, he might prove it, too. Why not? If it’s not right for me to own a car until I’ve worked myself into a hospital ward, earning a car for every loafer and every naked savage on earth – why can’t he demand a yacht from me, too, if I still have the ability not to have collapsed? No? He can’t? Then why can he demand that I go without cream for my coffee until he’s replastered his living room? … Oh well … Well, anyway, it was decided that nobody had the right to judge his own need or ability. We voted on it. Yes, ma’am, we voted on it in a public meeting twice a year. How else could it be done? Do you care to think what would happen at such a meeting? It took us just one meeting to discover that we had become beggars – rotten, whining, sniveling beggars, all of us, because no man could claim his pay as his rightful earning, he had no rights and no earnings, his work didn’t belong to him, it belonged to ‘the family’, and they owed him nothing in return, and the only claim he had on them was his ‘need’ – so he had to beg in public for relief from his needs, like any lousy moocher, listing all his troubles and miseries, down to his patched drawers and his wife’s head colds, hoping that ‘the family’ would throw him the alms. He had to claim miseries, because it’s miseries, not work, that had become the coin of the realm – so it turned into a contest between six thousand panhandlers, each claiming that his need was worse than his brother’s. How else could it be done? Do you care to guess what happened, what sort of men kept quiet, feeling shame, and what sort got away with the jackpot?

“But that wasn’t all. There was something else that we discovered at the same meeting. The factory’s production had fallen by forty percent, in that first half year, so it was decided that somebody hadn’t delivered ‘according to his ability.’ Who? How would you tell it? ‘The family’ voted on that, too. We voted which men were the best, and these men were sentenced to work overtime each night for the next six months. Overtime without pay – because you weren’t paid by time and you weren’t paid by work, only by need.

“Do I have to tell you what happened after that – and into what sort of creatures we all started turning, we who had once been humans? We began to hide whatever ability we had, to slow down and watch like hawks that we never worked any faster or better than the next fellow. What else could we do, when we knew that if we did our best for ‘the family,’ it’s not thanks or rewards that we’d get, but punishment? We knew that for every stinker who’d ruin a batch of motors and cost the company money – either through his sloppiness, because he didn’t have to care, or through plain incompetence – it’s we who’d have to pay with our nights and our Sundays. So we did our best to be no good.

“There was one young boy who started out, full of fire for the noble ideal, a bright kid without any schooling, but with a wonderful head on his shoulders. The first year, he figured out a work process that saved us thousands of man-hours. He gave it to ‘the family,’ didn’t ask anything for it, either, couldn’t ask, but that was all right with him. It was for the ideal, he said. But when he found himself voted as one of our ablest and sentenced to night work, because we hadn’t gotten enough from him, he shut his mouth and his brain. You can bet he didn’t come up with any ideas, the second year.

“What was it they’d always told us about the vicious competition of the profit system, where men had to compete for who’d do a better job than his fellows? Vicious, wasn’t it? Well, they should have seen what it was like when we all had to compete with one another for who’d do the worst job possible. There’s no surer way to destroy a man than to force him into a spot where he has to aim at not doing his best, where he has to struggle to do a bad job, day after day. That will finish him quicker than drink or idleness or pulling stick-ups for a living. But there was nothing else for us to do except to fake unfitness. The one accusation we feared was to be suspected of ability. Ability was like a mortgage on you that you could never pay off. And what was there to work for? You knew that your basic pittance would be given to you anyway, whether you worked or not – your ‘housing and feeding allowance,’ it was called – and above that pittance, you had no chance to get anything, no matter how hard you tried. You couldn’t count on buying a new suit of clothes next year – they might give you a ‘clothing allowance’ or they might not, according to whether nobody broke a leg, needed an operation or gave birth to more babies. And if there wasn’t enough money for new suits for everybody, then you couldn’t get yours, either.

“There was one man who’d worked hard all his life, because he’d always wanted to send his son through college. Well, the boy graduated from high school in the second year of the plan – but ‘the family’ wouldn’t give the father any ‘allowance’ for the college. They said his son couldn’t go to college, until we had enough to send everybody’s sons to college – and that we first had to send everybody’s children through high school, and we didn’t even have enough for that. The father died the following year, in a knife fight with somebody in a saloon, a fight over nothing in particular – such fights were beginning to happen among us all the time.

“Then there was an old guy, a widower with no family, who had one hobby: phonograph records. I guess that was all he ever got out of life. In the old days, he used to skip lunch just to buy himself some new recording of classical music. Well, they didn’t give him any ‘allowance’ for records – ‘personal luxury’ they called it. But at the same meeting, Millie Bush, somebody’s daughter, a mean, ugly little eight year old, was voted a pair of gold braces for her buck teeth – this was ‘medical need’ because the staff psychologist had said that the poor girl would get an inferiority complex if her teeth weren’t straightened out. The old guy who loved music, turned to drink, instead. He got so you never saw him fully conscious any more. But it seems like there was one thing he couldn’t forget. One night, he came staggering down the street, saw Millie Bush, swung his fist and knocked all her teeth out. Every one of them.

“Drink, of course, was what we all turned to, some more, some less. Don’t ask how we got the money for it. When all the decent pleasures are forbidden, there’s always ways to get the rotten ones. You don’t break into grocery stores after dark and you don’t pick your fellow’s pockets to buy classical symphonies or fishing tackle, but if it’s to get stinking drunk and forget – you do. Fishing tackle? Hunting guns? Snapshot cameras? Hobbies? There wasn’t any ‘amusement allowance’ for anybody. ‘Amusement’ was the first thing they dropped. Aren’t you supposed to be ashamed to object when anybody asks you to give up anything, if it’s something that gave you pleasure? Even our ‘tobacco allowance’ was cut to where we got two packs of cigarettes a month – and this, they told us, was because the money had to go into the babies’ milk fund. Babies was the only item of production that didn’t fall, but rose and kept on rising – because people had nothing else to do, I guess, and because they didn’t have to care, the baby wasn’t their burden, it was ‘the family’s.’ In fact, the best chance you had of getting a raise and breathing easier for a while was a ‘baby allowance.’ Either that or a major disease.

“It didn’t take us long to see how it all worked out. Any man who tried to play straight, had to refuse himself everything. He lost his taste for any pleasure, he hated to smoke a nickel’s worth of tobacco or chew a stick of gum, worrying whether somebody had more need for that nickel. He felt ashamed of every mouthful of food he swallowed, wondering whose weary nights of overtime had paid for it, knowing that his food was not his by right, miserably wishing to be cheated rather than to cheat, to be a sucker, but not a blood-sucker. He wouldn’t marry, he wouldn’t help his folks back home, he wouldn’t put an extra burden on ‘the family.’ Besides, if he still had some sort of sense of responsibility, he couldn’t marry or bring children into the world, when he could plan nothing, promise nothing, count on nothing. But the shiftless and irresponsible had a field day of it. The bred babies, they got girls into trouble, they dragged in every worthless relative they had from all over the country, every unmarried pregnant sister, for an extra ‘disability allowance,’ they got more sicknesses than any doctor could disprove, they ruined their clothing, their furniture, their homes – what the hell, ‘the family’ was paying for it! They found more ways of getting in ‘need’ than the rest of us could ever imagine – they developed a special skill for it, which was the only ability they showed.

“God help us, ma’am! Do you see what we saw? We saw that we’d been given a law to live by, a moral law, they called it, which punished those who observed it – for observing it. The more you tried to live up to it, the more you suffered; the more you cheated it, the bigger reward you got. Your honesty was like a tool left at the mercy of the next man’s dishonesty. The honest ones paid, the dishonest collected. The honest lost, the dishonest won. How long could men stay good under this sort of a law of goodness? We were a pretty decent bunch of fellows when we started. There weren’t many chiselers among us. We knew our jobs and we were proud of it and we worked for the best factory in the country, where old man Starnes hired nothing but the pick of the country’s labor. Within one year under the new plan, there wasn’t an honest man left among us. That was the evil, the sort of hell-horror evil that preachers used to scare you with, but you never thought to see alive. Not that the plan encouraged a few bastards, but that it turned decent people into bastards, and there was nothing else that it could do – and it was called a moral ideal!

“What was it we were supposed to work for? For the love of our brothers? What brothers? For the bums, the loafers, the moochers we saw all around us? And whether they were cheating or plain incompetent, whether they were unwilling or unable – what difference did that make to us? If we were tied for life to the level of their unfitness, faked or real, how long could we care to go on? We had no way of knowing their ability, we had no way of controlling their needs – all we knew was that we were beasts of burden struggling blindly in some sort of place that was half-hospital, half-stockyards – a place geared to nothing but disability, disaster, disease – beasts put there for the relief of whatever whoever chose to say was whichever’s need.

“Love of our brothers? That’s when we learned to hate our brothers for the first time in our lives. We began to hate them for every meal they swallowed, for every small pleasure they enjoyed, for one man’s new shirt, for another’s wife’s hat, for an outing with their family, for a paint job on their house – it was taken from us, it was paid for by our privations, our denials, our hunger. We began to spy on one another, each hoping to catch the others lying about their needs, so as to cut their ‘allowance’ at the next meeting. We began to have stool pigeons who informed on people, who reported that somebody had bootlegged a turkey to his family on some Sunday – which he’d paid for by gambling, most likely. We began to meddle into one another’s lives. We provoked family quarrels, to get somebody’s relatives thrown out. Any time we saw a man starting to go steady with a girl, we made life miserable for him. We broke up many engagements. We didn’t want anyone to marry, we didn’t want any more dependents to feed.

“In the old days, we used to celebrate if somebody had a baby, we used to chip in and help him out with the hospital bills, if he happened to be hard-pressed for the moment. Now, if a baby was born, we didn’t speak to the parents for weeks. Babies, to us, had become what locusts were to farmers. In the old days, we used to help a man out if he had a bad illness in the family. Now – well, I’ll tell you about just one case. It was the mother of a man who had been with us for fifteen years. She was a kindly old lady, cheerful and wise, she knew us all by our first names and we all liked her – we used to like her. One day, she slipped on the cellar stairs and fell and broke her hip. We knew what that meant at her age. The staff doctor said that she’d have to be sent to a hospital in town, for expensive treatments that would take a long time. The old lady died the night before she was to leave for town. They never established the cause of death. No, I don’t know whether she was murdered. Nobody said that. Nobody would talk about it at all. All I know is that I – and that’s what I can’t forget! – I, too, had caught myself wishing that she would die. This – may God forgive us! – was the brotherhood, the security, the abundance that the plan was supposed to achieve for us!

“Was there any reason why this sort of horror would ever be preached by anybody? Was there anybody who got any profit from it? There was. The Starnes heirs. I hope you’re not going to remind me that they’d sacrificed a fortune and turned the factory over to us as a gift. We were fooled by that one, too. Yes, they gave up the factory. But profit, ma’am, depends on what it is that you’re after. And what the Starnes heirs were after, no money on earth could buy. Money is too clean and innocent for that.

“Eric Starnes, the youngest – he was a jellyfish that didn’t have the guts to be after anything in particular. He got himself voted as the Director of our Public Relations Department, which didn’t do anything, except that he had a staff for the not doing of anything, so he didn’t have to bother sticking around the office. The pay he got – well, I shouldn’t call it ‘pay,’ none of us was ‘paid’ – the alms voted to him was fairly modest, about ten times what I got, but that wasn’t riches, Eric didn’t care for money – he wouldn’t have known what to do with it. He spent his time hanging around among us, showing how chummy he was and democratic. He wanted to be loved, it seems. The way he went about it was to keep reminding us that he had given us the factory. We couldn’t stand him.

“Gerald Starnes was our Director of Production. We never learned just what the size of his rake-off – his alms – had been. It would have taken a staff of accountants to figure that out, and a staff of engineers to trace the way it was piped, directly or indirectly, into his office. None of it was supposed to be for him – it was all for company expenses. Gerald had three cars, four secretaries, five telephones, and he used to throw champagne and caviar parties that no tax-paying tycoon in the country could have afforded. He spent more money in one year than his father had earned in profits in the last two years of his life. We saw a hundred pound stack – a hundred pounds, we weighed them – of magazines in Gerald’s office, full of stories about our factory and our noble plan, with big pictures of Gerald Starnes, calling him a great social crusader. Gerald liked to come into the shops at night, dressed in his formal clothes, flashing diamond cuff links the size of a nickel and shaking cigar ashes all over. Any cheap show-off who’s got nothing to parade but his cash, is bad enough – except that he makes no bones about the cash being his, and you’re free to gape at him or not, as you wish, and mostly you don’t. But when a bastard like Gerald Starnes puts on an act and keeps spouting that he doesn’t care for material wealth, that he’s only serving ‘the family,’ that all the lushness is not for himself, but for our sake and for the common good, because it’s necessary to keep up the prestige of the company and of the noble plan in the eyes of the public – then that’s when you learn to hate the creature as you’ve never hated anything human.

“But his sister Ivy was worse. She really did not care for material wealth. The alms she got was no bigger than ours, and she went about in scuffed, flat-heeled shoes and shirtwaists – just to show how selfless she was. She was our Director of Distribution. She was the lady in charge of our needs. She was the one who held us by the throat. Of course, distribution was supposed to be decided by voting – by the voice of the people. But when the people are six thousand howling voices, trying to decide without yardstick, rhyme or reason, when there are no rules to the game and each can demand anything, but has a right to nothing, when everybody holds power over everybody’s life except his own – then it turns out, as it did, that the voice of the people is Ivy Starnes. By the end of the second year, we dropped the pretense of the ‘family meetings’ – in the name of ‘production efficiency and time economy,’ one meeting used to take ten days – and all the petitions of need were simply sent to Miss Starnes’ office. No, not sent. They had to be recited to her in person by every petitioner. Then she made up a distribution list, which she read to us for our vote of approval at a meeting that lasted three-quarters of an hour. We voted approval. There was a ten-minute period on the agenda for discussion and objections. We made no objections. We knew better by that time. Nobody can divide a factory’s income among thousands of people, without some sort of a gauge to measure people’s value. Her gauge was bootlicking. Selfless? In her father’s time, all of his money wouldn’t have given him a chance to speak to his lousiest wiper and get away with it, as she spoke to our best skilled workers and their wives. She had pale eyes that looked fishy, cold and dead. And if you ever want to see pure evil, you should have seen the way her eyes glinted when she watched some man who’d talked back to her once and who’d just heard his name on the list of those getting nothing above basic pittance. And when you saw it, you saw the real motive of any person who’s ever preached the slogan: ‘From each according to his ability, to each according to his need.’

“This was the whole secret of it. At first, I kept wondering how it could be possible that the educated, the cultured, the famous men of the world could make a mistake of this size and preach, as righteousness, this sort of abomination – when five minutes of thought should have told them what would happen if somebody tried to practice what they preached. Now I know they didn’t do it by any kind of mistake. Mistakes of this size are never made innocently. If men fall for some vicious piece of insanity, when they have no way to make it work and no possible reason to explain their choice – it’s because they have a reason that they do not wish to tell. And we weren’t so innocent, either, when we voted for that plan at the end of the first meeting. We didn’t do it just because we believed that the drippy, old guff they spewed was good. We had another reason, but the guff helped us to hide it from our neighbors and from ourselves. The guff gave us a chance to pass off as virtue something that we’d be ashamed to admit otherwise. There wasn’t a man voting for it who didn’t think that under a setup of this kind he’d muscle in on the profits of the men abler than himself. There wasn’t a man rich and smart enough but that he didn’t think that somebody was richer and smarter, and this plan would give him a share of his better’s wealth and brain. But while he was thinking that he’d get unearned benefits from the men above, he forgot about the men below who’d get unearned benefits, too. He forgot about all his inferiors who’d rush to drain him just as he hoped to drain his superiors. The worker who liked the idea that his need entitled him to a limousine like his boss’s, forgot that every bum and beggar on earth would come howling that their need entitled them to an icebox like his own. That was our real motive when we voted – that was the truth of it – but we didn’t like to think it, so the less we liked it, the louder we yelled about our love for the common good.

“Well, we got what we asked for. By the time we saw what it was that we’d asked for, it was too late. We were trapped, with no place to go. Well, when our customers began to see that we never delivered an order on time and never put out a motor that didn’t have something wrong with it – the magic stamp began to work the other way around: people wouldn’t take a motor as a gift, if it was marked Twentieth Century. And it came to where our only customers were men who never paid and never meant to pay their bills. But Gerald Starnes, doped by his own publicity, got huffy and went around, with an air of moral superiority, demanding that businessmen place orders with us, not because our motors were good, but because we needed the orders so badly.

“By that time a village half-wit could see what generations of professors had pretended not to notice. What good would our need do to a power plant when its generators stopped because of our defective engines? What good would it do to a man caught on an operating table when the electric light went out? What good would it do to the passengers of a plane when its motor failed in mid-air? And if they bought our product, not because of its merit, but because of our need, would that be the good, the right, the moral thing to do for the owner of that power plant, the surgeon in that hospital, the maker of that plane?

“Yet this was the moral law that the professors and leaders and thinkers had wanted to establish all over the earth. A Truthful Robin Hood Movie

The latest Robin Hood movie no longer perpetuates the myth that Robin Hood robbed from the rich to give to the poor. Liberals and progressives are unhappy with the movie.

Actually misnamed "liberals" and "progressives" when viewed with spiritual eyes are seen to be neither liberal nor progressive.

They will swear to the high heavens that they would never go from door to door, pointing a gun at your head and your next door neighbor's head, demanding money to pay for their beloved "do-gooder" programs. But they have no problem letting their favorite politicians do their dirty work for them. They enjoy pretending innocence.

Liberal progressives would at least be a little honest and up front if they did go door to door in person, threatening their neighbor's lives and mouthing their demands in person. But to hide behind their politicians and have their politicians use government taxation and inflation to extort money for their programs ... such cowardice makes them in spiritual language obvious thieves and robbers.

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. (John 10:1)

Of course they will try to divert attention from their mugging mentality by claiming that you too have a responsibility for taxation. "Get real," they will argue. "Don't you use roads and other public services?"

It does no good to answer that you are freely willing to pay voluntarily for services you use and benefit from, preferably from a free market but within reason from a government agency if that's where a monopoly lies. They don't want to hear that living by your free will and not being forced is the natural and spiritual way.

The world, in its original connotation, included both the proper creation of man by God, and the proper creation by man in his Right Mind. The latter required the endowment of man by God with free will, because all loving creation is freely given. -Jesus Christ in A Course in Miracles

The liberal progressive answer to free will is pretended shock. "Voluntary payment for public services! It would never work." End of thought process ... no thought dared given to possibilities that do not involve robbery, not because it couldn't be made to work, but because politically mugging people is easier and more suits their temperament.

But then if pressed they will fall back on the illusory smugness of feigned moralism. "Robin Hood robbed from the rich and gave to the poor ... which is only fair, as the rich shouldn't have everything and the poor nothing."

Of course progressive liberals are not interested in the truth of the Robin Hood story. In Robin Hood's day the rich were those in political control who became rich by taxing into poverty those who had no political connections. Robin Hood heroically robbed from the taxers and gave back to the taxed ... a supremely moral activity since he was only reclaiming from the taxers a bit of that which was robbed from the people in the first place.

Liberal progressives are the malicious Prince Johns of our day. But they try to hide their evil by proclaiming they are "helping the poor." Never mind that the poor wouldn't be poor if liberal progressives would get out of the way and quit hampering those who create opportunities and prosperity, and quit enabling those who make self-sabotaging decisions in their lives.

So-called "progressive" government entitlement programs offer no spiritual value for anyone, not for the robbers, not for the robbed, and not for those who share in some of the unearned loot.

Jesus Christ teaches personal responsibility, voluntary charity which has spiritual value for giver and receiver both ... the giver because he is freely sharing what he has rightfully earned, and the receiver because he knows he has been blessed by spiritual impulse, not government force. Freely ye have received, freely give. (Matt. 10-8)

Jesus does not teach as do modern Democrats, "Rob from those who have and give to those who have not." The Christ sees liberal progressives as the muggers they are, and condones them not.

The REAL Argument For Repealing ObamaCare

Tea Party patriots (as well as most Republicans) are determined to do what it takes to see ObamaCare repealed. But the persuasive argument always used by misnamed “progressives” is something like, “But there are so many who lack … and Christ teaches us to care for the poor.” The implication is if you favor the repeal of ObamaCare or any other welfare program, you must be a cold-hearted unsympathetic non-Christian.

Let’s find out what Jesus Christ really teaches. Searching the New Testament for Jesus mentioning the poor, we find:

Jesus looked at him and loved him. "One thing you lack," he said. "Go, sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me." (Mark 10:21)

Note this was not a command to take care of the poor. It was a command to follow the Christ. Jesus knew, however, that this particular supplicant suffered from a split mind which wanted to serve two masters. He treasured his earthly possessions far too much to completely 100% desire heaven.

But there was surely more to it than that. Other supplicants with different mindsets probably could have simply walked away from their earthly possessions, or given them to their friends, or donated them to an anti-Roman government political party. But this particular supplicant must have also been holding himself back from heaven by his attitude toward the poor. Maybe he was an elitist who considered the poor to be lazy, irresponsible, unworthy rabble. If such an idea was in his mind, he would have needed not only to break his addiction to his earthly possessions, but also to release his judgments and come to see the poor as himself. If that were the situation, then following the suggestion of Jesus would have been “killing two ego-vested interests with one action.”

Nevertheless, some disciples of Jesus must have misunderstood any secondary element of Jesus’ suggestion to the rich young man. They must have thought it was only about caring for the poor by redistribution of wealth. Because on another occasion they murmured among themselves:

When the disciples saw this, they were indignant. "Why this waste?" they asked. "This perfume could have been sold at a high price and the money given to the poor." (Matt. 26:8-9)

But Jesus tried to show them that caring for the poor was not a fundamental priority:

Aware of this, Jesus said to them, "Why are you bothering this woman? She has done a beautiful thing to me. The poor you will always have with you, but you will not always have me.” (Matt. 26:10-11)

“The poor you will always have with you?”

Does that sound like Jesus Christ wants us to set up a welfare state which discourages voluntary charity by immorally stealing from the most productive people to support those who gain no spiritual value from such schemes?

But wait! There’s more! In his modern revelation for the 21st Century, A Course in Miracles, Jesus says this:

I once asked if you were willing to sell all you have, and give to the poor and follow me. This is what I meant: If you had no investment in anything in this world, you could teach the poor where THEIR treasure is. The poor are merely those who have invested wrongly, and they are poor indeed! And because they are in need, it is given to you to help them, since you are among them. Consider how perfectly your lesson would be learned IF YOU WERE UNWILLING TO SHARE THEIR POVERTY. For poverty is lack, and there is but one lack, since there is but one need. (ACIM Text Chap. 11)

In other words, Jesus is teaching us to refuse to see anyone as poor.

So-called “liberals” are like those disciples of Jesus who missed the point altogether. They have it upside-down and backwards. We help the poor by our certainty that they lack nothing, by our certainty that they are equal to us and already have everything they will ever need to be lifted up out of any belief in lack, or resultant condition.

Translated into political action in today’s context, we aid the poor by (1) helping everyone to understand not only that "liberal" ideas will never work, but can only continue to make everything much worse; (2) repealing welfare state programs; and (3) saying to those who think of themselves as poor, “Get rid of all that you have (your belief in poverty) and follow the Christ.”

America Becoming Fascist Dictatorship?

So-called "liberal" so-called "progressives" are fond of justifying their desire to use government to force people to live according to liberal dictates. They use phrases like "it's for their own good," or "health care insurance is a right."

If health care insurance was a right, human beings would have it in their natural state which pre-exists before man-made government is invented. Freedom is a right. Before government is invented men and women are free. Freedom to succeed or fail is a right. Government is not invented to take away the right to fail ... or to succeed. Freedom to trade as one sees fit is a right. Before government is dreamed up people trade or not as they so choose.

Forcing people to have health care insurance is dictatorship. It is unbecoming of a proper government, which is invented to protect people's rights not disappear them.

It is logically inevitable that a people who allow their government to disappear one of their rights will soon find two of their rights disappearing. And a people who allow their government to take away two of their rights will soon find four of their rights gone. And a people who allow four of their rights to be dissolved by their government will soon be missing sixteen of their rights. Liberal Progressive Fascism has been an evolving dictatorship, but is a dictatorship becoming more obvious to more people every day. Read the scholarly history, "Liberal Fascism," by Jonah Goldberg.

Never support a politician who says, "The people need this! It's for their own good!" Whatever people really need, they already have. It is government's job to protect, not to provide ... and never to dictate.

Hmmm... only the values which once allowed Americans full expression of their spirit, and made America great.

Contrast these values with the actions of the modern Democratic Party which has been taken over by socialists. How many times have you heard Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama give lip service to free markets, but with loop holes. "Free markets are fine, but...." Or the U.S. Constitution. "The Constitution is a great document, except...." Or fiscal responsibility. "We too would like to see a balanced budget ... or closer to balanced ... maybe someday."

Do not conclude from their activities that Democrats have only half-hearted interest in adhering to the Constitution, governing with financial restraint, and allowing free markets to work. The truth is they do not believe in any of these values, but they know that in order to appear legitimate they have to give lip service to these American traditions ... at least for a while longer, until they have really consolidated power, after which time in their minds their socialist state will shine in all its glory ... government of the elite, by the elite, for the elite.

The biggest myth in politics is that Democrats are for the people. Democrats couldn't care less about the people. If they did, they would get themselves and their Utopian theories out of the way and allow freedom.

Until now, Republicans haven't been much better. By allowing Democrats to set the agenda of governance, many Republicans are simply Democrat enablers, which means socialist enablers, which means slavery enablers.

Eventually the enslaved reach a point of rebellion. The Tea Party movement is a slave rebellion. It means to warn both parties: "Quit enslaving us!"

Elitists sneer at the Tea Party movement and call it "populist," which is meant to be a derisive term akin to "unwashed rabble." They claim Tea Party activists are just not smart enough to understand the advanced intellectualism and complicated genius of so-called "progressives." Unfortunately for the elitists, even the most "uneducated" slaves know they are enslaved ... and feel their spirit calling for freedom.

And spirit is what it is all about. Freedom is a spiritual condition. Limited government is a spiritual prerequisite. Fiscal responsibility is spiritually guided. Obama Creates Poverty, Not Jobs!

There is no sense arguing as to whether President Obama is arrogant vs. stubborn. They are practically the same. President Obama steadfastly refuses to learn the lessons of history, vowing to "fight on" by repeating all the mistakes Franklin Roosevelt made in pushing America deeper and deeper into economic depression.

The problem: Obama simply will not relinquish his worship of government economic "solutions."

But there is no such thing as a government economic solution. Government can (and does) create poverty, but government cannot bring about prosperity. Only free people with voluntary decisions and efforts in free markets can build prosperity. Government can only interfere with people's freedom of choice, whether it be via taxation, regulation, or misguided programs in the name of "redistribution of wealth."

"But wait a minute! If it wasn't for government, dishonest business people would amass fortunes on the backs of the poor."

Such a Marxist fantasy sure does elicit sympathy for "the poor," doesn't it? But remember only government interference can create involuntary poverty. In a market free of government interference, except for very brief "correction periods," there are always more jobs available than people willing to work. So people can easily switch jobs if their employers do not serve them. Voluntary employment is, after all, voluntary.

"But what about employers who are dishonest?"

Yes, it is government's job to defend us against dishonest business people just as much as to defend us against criminals and foreign threats. Defense is, in fact, the only proper function of government: to attempt to restore justice and peace when there has been any initiation of force, threat of force, theft, fraud, or breach of contract.

With respect to business people, government cannot force honesty and integrity before the fact, but government's job is to create an infrastructure of legal conditions which make it extremely difficult for dishonorable people to operate in a free market.

Obama is doing exactly the opposite. He and his Democrat allies act as if they harbor a secret belief that all business people are dishonorable, so they have to make it harder than hell for anyone to produce wealth and economic prosperity. Call it the "anti-capitalist mentality," and let yourself see that it can lead only to more stagnation and eventual poverty.

Do you really think a person who has been lifted and carried high on a current of feeling from Avatar is going to go out and vote for the establishment? Do you believe a man whose perhaps previously dormant spirit identifies with the heroism of Jake Scully is going to vote for power-mongers who want to force their agenda down the throats of those who don't want it? Can you imagine a woman who feels rapport with Neytiri would go to the polls and vote for a President who refuses to listen to the people?

On Tea Party night in Massachusetts, Former Governor Mitt Romney identified the ruling elite in Washington to be "Neo-Monarchists."

Surely this is merely political speak meant to imply that Democrats are acting about the same as King George and his English Parliament cronies acted in 1776 ... a point we've previously made here.

A polished politician like Mitt Romney wouldn't dare call Democrats dictators (which they are) or tyrants (which they are). After all, he may someday need votes of some who still identify with the Democratic Party. "Neo-monarchists" is not nearly so sharp a term, but makes the point.

The point is the Democratic Party during the Age of Obama has not acted at all democratically. They have repeatedly refused to listen to the people. They have sneered at the people. "Avatar!" Innocents Stop Government/Corporate Thugs

Some who like to call themselves "liberals" or "progressives" have praised the movie "Avatar" for its "political and environmental" message. Of course the only message they heard was anti-capitalist. Evil corporations had destroyed their own planet and now were in the process of ruining the beautiful environment of the moon Pandora.

No one would side with such evil if it really existed. But it could only exist with the cooperation of politicians and bureaucrats. In true capitalism (which the world has never seen), a corporation which attempted evil practices would quickly be stopped by a government whose sole mandate was to respond to any initiation of force or fraud.

Yet the movie "Avatar" has a much, much deeper message, and the deeper message is exactly the opposite of the so-called "liberal" and "progressive" agenda. Whereas "liberals" and "progressives" want more government bureaucracies and more government forcing people to live as rulers decide (using the environment as an excuse for naked power-lust), the movie "Avatar" is about not forcing people.

The deeper message the movie "Avatar" shouts out for those who have ears to hear is: leave people free to live as they so choose. In a society lacking government thugs forcing their man-made rules on people and concocting secret back room deals with corporation lobbyists, free people soon learn they must live in rapport with their environment. In the movie, the Na'vi people are very spiritual, and being tuned in spiritually they live in a libertarian society, not a fascist society sold to the people with phony labels like "liberal" or "progressive."

"Avatar" is about innocents defeating thugs. It makes no difference if the thugs are hired by corporations to achieve a bottom line profit, or if thugs are union organizers, or if the thugs arrogantly strut around their government offices in Brooks Brothers suits. Thugs are thugs are thugs.

Capitalism: The Only Moral "System"

Definition of capitalism: The unrestricted and unregulated production and distribution of goods and services. Voluntary markets free from political intervention (except in cases of criminal activity).

Ask yourself why someone would want to teach against economic freedom. What would be the motive of such teaching? Do anti-capitalists secretly fear they are too insignificant to thrive in a competitive market, and thereby are driven by envy to attack? Or are they guided by laziness, preferring to parasite off those who don't mind working to satisfy their desires?

Capitalism is the condition allowing for true morality. No matter how one defines "doing right" or "doing wrong," only individuals can do right or wrong. Any group or government or business or religion only shows us the good or bad done by the individuals within the group or government or business or religion. Only individuals can be moral or immoral, ethical or unethical. Only individuals can make choices and, if needed, learn lessons.

To speak of a moral "system" makes no sense. But if individuals are free to make mistakes and learn from their mistakes, such a free society allows for men and women to recognize the necessity of moral living to experience happiness and to work toward developing full and complete morality (the pursuit of happiness). Only capitalism allows the development of maximum virtue.

Ayn Rand argues that living by reason is man's means of survival and the pursuit of happiness. Unfortunately simply using logic based on surface appearances is no guarantee of happiness or survival because surface appearances can be deceiving.

Romney Would Be Better For Economy

It's as simple as this: Democrats read Keynsian economics and Keynsian economics has always been wrong.

John Maynard Keynes argued that the solution to economic downturn was to stimulate the economy through some combination of holding interest rates low and government investment in infrastructure.

If you are a "progressive" who worships government religiously, there is no need to look any deeper. The government acts ... and supposedly the economy responds.

The problem is, Keynes did not consider all factors. Holding interest rates low and increasing government spending actually depresses an economy, as Americans found out the hard way under Franklin Roosevelt.

If you try holding interest rates artificially low, lower than the level which would be created by free men and women making free choices, then lenders have little incentive to lend. Lenders hold onto their money, waiting, in the hopes interest rates will rise. During this "holding and waiting" period, many businesses which would like to expand cannot get loans, so economic expansion proceeds at a snail's pace, if at all.

If you try to boost up government spending for "infrastructure" (which pretty much turns into government spending for anything), you either have to raise taxes enormously (higher taxes drains the economy) or you have to exponentially increase government debt, which inevitably lowers the value of currency (which holds the economy in a paralysis of uncertainty).

Keynes was not an honest objective thinker. He was in love with the "progressive" experiments which Benito Mussolini and Franklin Roosevelt were playing with economically. His theories were created to try to justify their approach.

Mitt Romney, who is a genius in business and economics in the real world, would make a far better President than any Democrat ... if you want to see the economy soar.

In reality, Ayn Rand recognized extreme political naivete of the American right, and if she were alive today would surely blame the foolishness of right-wingers for the Obama fascist takeover.

Elitist Republican intellectuals have joined with guerrilla-warfare Democrats in a jihad to wipe Sarah Palin off the face of political geography. Killing Feds Is Not The Answer

Actually this hanged man was not really a fed. Yet it is certainly understandable that some people might feel like killing feds. Federal judges and national politicians have violated people's rights with insane and poverty-producing decisions and laws which enslave. Yes, federal slave masters crack an excruciatingly painful whip over every day people who are just trying to mind their own business. But killing feds is not the answer. There are many reasons to refrain from killing feds. Here are some of the most obvious:

Feds are like fire ants

There is nothing to be gained by killing a fed. Other feds will come. Then even more. And yet more. Until their entire culture crashes, they can reproduce themselves and swarm all over you faster than you could ever kill them.

Misdirected sympathy would be created

Killing feds only creates sympathy for them, helping them to be viewed as martyrs and making it look like you are the bad guy. You need to find ways to create sympathy not for feds, but for yourself. They have victimized you.

Heightened brutality would be created

Feds are hopelessly self-righteous, making it easy to justify to themselves the most damaging personal treatment of those who they see rebelling among their rightful slaves. Slaves are supposed to be passive and respectful of their masters.

Personal psychological damage

Even though feds may seem to have ruined your life and destroyed your opportunities, you are still alive. It is extemely hard to live life to the fullest when you have taken a brother's life, no matter what justification you try to tell yourself.

There is a better way

Obama Policies Mimic 1930s

Herbert Hoover turned an economic downturn into a depression. Franklin Roosevelt deepened it into a hugely painful Great Depression and guaranteed it would drag out for a decade. Barack Obama is following exactly the same policies.

But where did these policies come from? In "The Forgotten Man," Amety Shlaes, one of the nation's most respected economic commentators looks behind the scenes. Sarah Palin and Freedom of Health Care

What does Sarah Palin have to do with health care for Americans?

The common Democratic argument for the U.S. government taking over the health care industry is “there are 47 million Americans who are inadequately insured.” Since there are 307 million Americans, this is equivalent to saying 15% of Americans don’t have the level of health insurance which liberals think they should have.

Ignoring the fact that for the first 200 years in America 99% of U.S. citizens did not have any health insurance whatsoever and nonetheless lived long, healthy lives … ignoring that fact, let’s look at those who are so-called “inadequately insured.”

The ugly truth that Democrats are not really interested in people’s health is evidenced by the fact that under their legislation health care will be rationed by bureaucratic health czars. What Democrats are really interested in is building huge government bureaucracies so they can appoint their friends and “foot soldiers” to government jobs and thereby maintain iron-fisted Chicago-style political control. Knowing the real motives of Democrats, we can assume they have found ways to blow up a little toy balloon into a very large appearing blimp labeled “47 million.” The correct number of “inadequately insured” by their definition is probably more like 17 million, but allowing for error let's start with 27 million, not 47 million.

But it is liberal do-gooders who define “inadequate.” Hordes of part-time workers have insurance which gives them at least some relief for any major health problems they create for themselves. So the real number, those who are totally uninsured by some insurance plan, is probably closer to 10 million. There may be 10 million Americans today, 3% of Americans ... not 47 million, 15% of Americans ... who are living without insurance in the way 99% of Americans always lived in the past.

Out of those 10 million, there are probably 3 million who have adequate family ties, family members who would help pay for medical bills, etc., the way it’s always been done for centuries. So there are maybe 7 million, not 47 million, who are not sure where they would turn if they created for themselves serious health problems.

It is often argued that these 7 million “cannot afford” health insurance. But this is not true. We’ve looked at the poorest neighborhoods and we see that everyone has a car and a television set, many have pets, most have cell phones, there is plenty of beer, and lots of music floating from ghetto blasters and neighborhood bars, as well as many other “goodies” evident. There is nothing poor about so-called “poor people.” They have simply made choices to buy other things besides health insurance.

Seven million free individuals have freely made the choice that they don’t want health insurance. Maybe 6 million of those wouldn’t mind having health insurance, but they don’t want it enough to give up their cars or their television sets or their cell phones or the other “goodies” which they would rather have. Maybe another million either don’t like doctors, refuse to go to a doctor, and therefore feel they don’t need health insurance; or don’t like the concept of insurance and wouldn’t buy insurance if their life depended on it.

To the liberal do-gooders of the Democratic Party, freedom of choice is not to be allowed (except in the case of killing babies). In the liberal mind, health insurance must be made mandatory. Obviously mandatory health insurance is dictatorship, but Democrats don’t mind dictatorship as long as they are the dictators … which is precisely their plan.

Republicans are afraid to call a spade a spade. God forbid they take a stand against mandatory health insurance … for fear they would appear insensitive to all those poor people who have chosen cars, televisions and ghetto blasters.

Thank God for Sarah Palin! She has freed herself from limiting political protocol. She can now go out among everyday Americans and call a spade a spade. She can now remind people of their truest deepest heart’s desire, which is not some Democratic-forced health insurance ... but the freedom to make one’s own decisions, including the decision to live or die, take care of one's health or not, as one decides for oneself.

Sarah Palin can speak out and remind Americans of the real truth ... that the only meaningful health insurance is freedom from government dictatorship.

Romney to Obama: "Why the Hell-bent Rush?"

"The road to hell is paved with good intentions." But are Obama's intentions even good?

Giving President Obama the benefit of the doubt, his intentions could be viewed as good. There seems to be a health care problem (caused by government intervention in the free market in the first place). But is there really a need to race forward with very bad legislation which in the name of a "fix" will surely create infinitely worse problems?

Mitt Romney tells Obama: slow down and take a deeper look, because you don't know what you are doing. Romney already reformed health care in Massachusetts, and he did it extremely carefully, taking his time and getting everyone involved ... and despite every expertise and precaution the Massachusetts "fix," although infinitely better than Obamacare, still needs fixing. Romney counsels "Slow Down".

President Obama admits he has no idea what is really in the health care legislation being strong-armed through the U.S. House of Representatives. So why the hurry? What kind of President rushes into something about which he has no clue?

Unfortunately, President Obama is a "don't bother me with the details" type of leader who is only interested in power and appearances ... the power of increased federal control wielded by his party, and the appearance of creating "accomplishments" to brag about before voters.

This is important to understand: Obama doesn't really care whether the health care reform works or not, as long as he can sign health care reform into law and create more government bureaucracies and control over people's lives. Once government controlled health care is law, it will be impossible to repeal and his Democrats will have thousands upon thousands of bureaucracy jobs and iron-fisted control of the lives of most Americans.

Socialism (government meddling in the marketplace) always lowers the quality of life for everyone except party politicians and bureaucrats (and even them if spiritual life is considered). One has to wonder why Obama is so blind to such an obvious historical lesson. But then again, maybe Obama has intentions we know not of. And maybe Americans should turn to someone a bit more sensible ... like Mitt Romney.

Mitt Romney & Sarah Palin Must Work Together

Republicans need both Mitt Romney and Sarah Palin.

At this time the two leading contenders for the Republican nomination in 2012 are Mitt Romney and Sarah Palin. Both possess virtues head and shoulders above all other Republican candidates, and both can easily restore the respectability of the Republican Party. So why not run both on the same ticket?

Before we rejoice that Republican redemption might easily be guaranteed, let's recognize that Mike Huckabee will try to sabotage the Republican Party again. He's already started with his vindictive negative comments about Romney and his wishy-washy far from truly positive comments about Sarah Palin. Huckabee has repeatedly broken Ronald Reagan's 11th commandment, "Thou shalt not speak ill of another Republican," disqualifying himself by his own selfish agenda. What man or woman who can clearly see the difference between honesty and the pretense of righteousness would ever vote for Huckabee?

If the Republican Party is ever again to become a party of genuinely respected leaders, they will have to turn to leaders who are truly heroic ... like Mitt Romney and Sarah Palin.

There is a most important truth which no Republican ever talks about because everyone is too busy defending against the constant drum beat of the liberal world view and liberal propaganda. But the one thing above all else that the political left cannot allow to survive, and must attack to destroy ... is true heroism.

The mainstream media will not really try to destroy a politician like McCain or Huckabee, because such politicians are either not consistently heroic or not heroic in the first place. But let a Sarah Palin come along, or a Mitt Romney, and the inquisition becomes inhuman ... with each petty little left-leaning ego slashing out to cut them into small enough pieces to burn at their petty little stakes.

"But don't Republicans want a candidate who the media is not going to attempt to cut to pieces?"

No! "Safe with the media" equals "worthless," and Republicans, of all people, should know that by now. To be sure, the media has tried to picture Barack Obama as a hero, but they have pushed this phony image precisely because Obama is so thoroughly anti-heroic. Obama has trained himself for his entire life to never make a truly heroic decision or take a truly heroic act. For Obama, life is about giving carefully safe flowery speeches and avoiding responsibility. He is a house of cards.

By way of contrast, the pathway to redemption for the Republican Party is ... heroism.

Present a candidate who is willing to take on entrenched political and corporate vested interests, as Sarah Palin did in Alaska. Show voters a candidate who dared take on the job of turning a monumental fiasco into an unbelievable success, as Mitt Romney did with the 2002 Winter Olympics.

No Republicans have consistently made heroic decisions and taken heroic actions like Mitt Romney and Sarah Palin. If Republicans don't support these two great leaders, their party deserves to fade into obscurity.
