Who are the creators of prosperity? Certainly not bureaucrats in government offices, or the politicians who set up and enable bureaucratic empires. Certainly not unions who are always one step away from blood-in-the-streets mob rule if they can't feed their greed by a thug-created majority. Certainly not the IRS.

Certainly not the false Robin Hoods like President Obama who, instead of stealing from taxers and giving back to those taxed into poverty as the real Robin Hood did, think of themselves as virtuous because they steal from honest hard workers and give to the dishonest.

In Ayn Rand's novel, Atlas Shrugged, a modern-day pirate explains how Robin Hood's original virtue has since been twisted into its opposite. "He [Robin Hood] is held to be the first man who assumed a halo of virtue by practicing charity with wealth which he did not own, by giving away goods which he had not produced. He is the man who became the symbol of the idea that need, not achievement, is the source of rights, that we don't have to produce, only to want, that the earned does not belong to us, but the unearned does."
