A Course in Miracles: Obama's Massachusetts Defeat Caused By Avatar Movie?

President Obama is clueless and confused as to why the people of Massachusetts, normally Democratic, turned so powerfully against him and his policies. To really understand, Obama would have to find an IMAX theatre and see Avatar a few times.

In fact, it's very possible that Obama's disastrous defeat in Massachusetts was the direct result of so many people seeing Avatar.

"What the heck are you talking about?"

Consider ... far beneath the surface story of Avatar, much deeper than the apparent political message claimed for Avatar by environmentalists, is the feeling generated by the movie. Viewers often stand and applaud at the end of the movie because of how it makes them feel. The feeling is empowerment. Empowerment of the people.

Do you really think a person who has been lifted and carried high on a current of feeling from Avatar is going to go out and vote for the establishment? Do you believe a man whose perhaps previously dormant spirit identifies with the heroism of Jake Scully is going to vote for power-mongers who want to force their agenda down the throats of those who don't want it? Can you imagine a woman who feels rapport with Neytiri would go to the polls and vote for a President who refuses to listen to the people?

Do you want to gain understanding, Mr. President? Go see Avatar, and when the characters in the movie threaten "bulldozers" think of your unwillingness to listen to anyone but your own ideologues and your attempt to bulldoze people under your socialist programs.
